TR4/4A Stromberg ?

I should know this, but Ive forgotten. Which way do you turn the botton screw to lean out the carbs? I don't remember whats lean and whats rich. Thanks!
 
Sorry to disagree 3798j but if you are looking down on the TR4A Stromberg and reaching under to adjust, you will be turning the screw anti clockwise to get it lean as this will be going up on the adjustment screw. If he has TR6 carbs on his 4 then you are right.

This from one of the many manuals on adjusting Stromberg 175CD's: "A slotted nut at the base of the of the carburettor (their spelling) increases or decreases the strength of the mixture. Turning the nut the nut clockwise raises the jet and weakens the mixture. Turning the jet anti-clockwise enriches the mixture."
Not really a disagreement...more of a different point of view (pun intended).
