How i got here

OK so anyone following my progress...might want to know some of my parts now have primer on them.

It is the best the Front apron has looked in 20+ years

So the logistics are being worked on for getting the body dipped and primed soon.

Probably in a couple weeks

I am assuming that you are using a colored primer, something I should have done.

Nice place to work too.

JP - looks good! I also used a colored primer. I assume you are going signal red too?

You can see some pix in my postings how I got the tub to John. Not near as bad as you might think.

The next step is where the fun really begins - fitting the panels to the tub....

now the fun begins, spraying a mist coat of primer, a different color, and block sanding to get it stright, level and smooth so you dont have ripples, and a two part glazing puddy to fill the imperfections

Well....the fun actually takes a little step for me. I need to get the body off to have it dipped and then returned to mate up with the frame again. The bad panels will be cut out and replaced. I debated and because of the condition of the metal decided on this route.

The final color is going to be the original Primose Yellow, not an exciting color...but how many TR3s do we need in BRG or Signal Red? Not that there is anything wrong with that, just my choice.
