Got the new dash wood put together yesterday. Only had to reset one mounting bracket. I believe this was the most stressful thing I've done to date on this car. Could see me scratching or drill thru the wood while putting it all together. Whew! Glad this part is done.

I took my old dash and made clear plexiglass templates to use for lining up,all those holes on the back side. It took longer to make the templates than it did to drill all those holes fir the screws on the backside. I had a couple of spare dash's and it seemed that they may have had a template when they were built because both hole locations lined up.

I had to install a new glove box on my dash and it took me about 10 times longer than I thought it would. The new stuff is very stiff and hard to work into place. I never thought I'd be saturating cardboard with water to bend it without ruining it, but it worked.
