Is it street legal to drive a Midget with the front and rear bumber removed?

I'm in Illinois, if that matters.
 
Check with the local DMV. I suspect it's OK, but you should also check with your insurance agent.
 
Its old enough you probably would get away with it, maybe just fabricate something like a small T shaped push bar on each side. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif
