Fun looking ride DrE! Is this gonna be your new ride? Looks like a Lotus Seven Basil. Don't see the scoop for a super but then again I don't know much about the Lotus.
 
It's a Caterham. Friend and mate drove it here from about 150 miles south of us ON THE INTERSTATE!!! They love the beastie. We did "laps" around the block here and had a great bit of fun. Assembled by someone we don't know... whoever it was they did a VERY workmanlike job. Impressive. It has some little issues but nothing to prevent drivin' th' snot outta it! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
 
Nice. I tend to like them finished with polished body work. Do not drop you hand out while moving!

Roger that! Results vary: Right side, road-rash. Left side, exhaust pipe burns. Not a ride for anyone over 6' tall or 190 pounds... unless they're very (gymnastically) flexible, too.

Still looks like fun. They are a little scary when stopped at a traffic lite and a lorry pulls up behind you.

Very nice! And the correct front wings too.

I'd love one to run around town in. But if you've ever ridden in one at speed for an extended amount of time, the wind buffeting can get very tiring. Even worse than a TR3 or a J3 Cub. Definitely a "half hour at a time" car for me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

"wings" is the correct terminology...get some good speed under them & they tend to lift the front end a bit!
 
I can attest to the fact that they are a blast to drive. More fun than any of my other cars or any car I have driven.

Even after hours in it I don't mind the wind at all. And really comfortable bucket seats.

I'm with you Tony personally I would prefer the others that wrap around the rims
 
Very nice ride!

Dave (78Z on forum) up here in Calgary is apparently getting close to finishing his Locost Seven homebuilt, he has told me that he hopes to be finished by the spring, which would be our driving season up here anyway...

No worse than a puny little BE, but with enough extra umph to get out of the way of most anything!!
