Dunno if there is a market for 'em like pork bellies but if there is, some speculators should stand to gain well now: We've seen the magic freezing mark here in central Florida this AM. YIKES, it's cold. Damp cold. 15~20 knot winds... chill factor puts it into the "feels like" low 20's. I think my face is gonna fall off.

21Âş right now and not going to get much higher. Garage has not been visited in ages it seems.
My driveway is about 70 long and slopes towards the street. With the ice storm we had the other day, you can skate all the way to the road. SOLID ICE.

John, I think we're supposed to hit 32 sometime next week, for the first time in a month.
Water actually boils?? I'm beginning to think it just exists as a solid.
Jeff

Ya'll got SOLID water lyin' around in the wild up there?!?! WOW!!!

...that "Mitch-eegan" place must be where those bags of hard water come from. The $0.99 ones in lockers in front of all the convenience stores here... Goes good with single malts.

Hey Doc, 18 year old Glenfiddich, and no ice in sight. (Unless I look outside.)
Jeff

Now you're talking! And I'm game for trip to show Doc the "no ice" in the Glenfiddich way. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

...and I ain't put hard water into a single malt yet. It's a TRAP!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Mmmmm, single malt. This thread just made me go pour a dram. Aberlour from Speyside, a drop of nectar. Next time I go to the tropics I shall have to take a bottle with me and go find Elsinore.

Drive south 'till you see giant mouse ears. Make a HARD right and call.... we'll vector ya in from there.

I am a fan of Glenmorangie, in addition to the aforementioned Aberlour. There are several good books on the subject of single malts, with descriptions of the taste and aroma of each one. It's all down to personal taste, there are big differences between the areas where these distilleries are located, and you will find that you are easily hooked in the search for the one single malt that suits you best.

Enjoy the search.

I looked at both today, and went with the Glenfiddich, as I was familiar with it. Next time, I'll try one of the others.
However, 'fiddich isn't all bad. No ice, of course!
Jeff
