MGB Storing a cylinder head

I'm in the process of taking apart an extra motor that came with my '77 B. I will be taking the cylinder head off tomorrow. I plan on storing it in my garage which is not climate controlled. Should I coat it in grease, wrap it in a towel or some other way to keep it from rusting and in as good a shape as it can be?
Thanks,
Charlie

grease is probably overkill. I have sprayed WD40 to good effect - it seems to leave a coating.

Yup - and when you take it to the machine shop for its refresh, they'll clean up any crud/surface rust.

Spray with waxoil under body coating, can be got in a rattle can, wrap in wax paper builders use it on the inside of timber frame.
