That's gonna be like the quest for the chalace of life!! And nobody would know how to use them if you found them all!

Yep, so it goes. Part of this is based around an interchange database I have. Because I play with so many different cars I've found it immensely useful to know which parts go on which cars. If I can get my hands on the catalog, I can add it to the mix.

I guess I'll have to cough up the $75 to buy one. But I've still only been able to see a catalog listed for the later generation (from introduction of the MG midget onwards) I've not seen any evidence of the Sprite MKI catalogs on the internet.

ahspares.co.uk .... they list oem numbers as well as their own

Brilliant! Thanks!

I also found that Victoria British had them all on CD-Rom. Now I just need to find a non-Vista computer to view them on.

Ohhh, a game. Fun fun.

I have a copy of the AKD3514 parts breakdown book that I have scanned and put on CD. It covers from the Midget-on (as you already have?).
If you want a copy then PM me with your address and I'll send one.
(This offer applies to anyone else who wants one too)

Started sorting through parts tonight. I'm keeping in mind the requests I've had to date. The easiest bit to stor in detail so far has been the lighting equipment. You can see photos of the complete lighting parts in sorted form here: https://www.theymightberacing.com/

Tomorrow's goal is carburetor/intake bits, then electrics.

Cheers!

I may need to make you the SW Autoist franchisee!

Someone here in N. Califoria might be the next Western Autoist!
I just got home from an original former AH MG Jag Triumph dealers location somewhere here in Ca (he did not want me to give the locatation). What I saw made an LBC lover cry or jump for joy. A 1949 Bently Saloon, 2 Jag Mk1 (1RH 1LH), 12 AH/MG sprigets, an MGB GT and some newer 70's Jags. A pile of datsun B210 tansmissions and motors etc... . All the cars were restorable California cars, he even had his sales reciepts from the dealership back in the 60's. I did not dare to take pictures and the cars are secure and inside. Someone has to save this lot (he has more at a different localtion). I do not have the time or the $$$, but if someone is out there and serious I will introduce you. Looking at the place it would even make a a great small auto museum once you get past all the junk cars etc. Funny what you stumble onto when you are not looking.

Ebay, most of the guys that post there do it for a living, and if someone has one of these "gems" they are working on , they know what they are looking for just by the picture.
Use as much description as you can so you will capture as many people in the search, just a little advice from a long time "e-bayer".
Sorry forgot to introduce myself, I'm Msmidget, original owner, 75 Midget, california car purchased at the factory in the UK

Started putting bits out on Ebay: https://motors.shop.ebay.com/merchant/jodyfkerr

My goal is to go through a box of bits every night, we'll see how that goes.

Beent trying to respond to everyone that sent me a message. I think I caught up with everyone, if not, let me know! Anyone has a wishlist, feel free to send it over.

Cheers!

That reminds me, I need to tell you about a project I'm working on.

Hey Folks, I need some identification assistance.

I know that there were a number of dual-carb set-ups for these cars. Is the set-up below an HS2? I'm afraid I don't know SU carbs as well as I should.

Those are not from a Midget. Maybe an early Triumph?

Jody:
You might want to post the pic in the Triumph and AH forum too. Also, I went through all the stuff with Dom a couple of months back and I remember there was some Volvo stuff, maybe the carbs were part of that, I can't recall completely though.

Roy,

Thanks for the tip, you are correct, it's an intake&carb setup from a Volvo P1800. Having never seen an engine from one of those I can better explain my ignorance. If it'd been a car I'd actually seen before I'd have felt more foolish.

Thanks!
