Stolen MG and AH Parts

That's really depressing. Classic car parts stolen for scrap. People never cease to amaze me.

The one thing that sorta shocked me that they were already crushed, I find that the most shocking of all, most of the time a scrapyard owner would hold on to something unique to see if he could get more than scrap for it.

That tells me the scrap dealer was in on it. He had to get rid of the evidence quickly.
They give the out for the people committing the crime, and never pay the price. Sorry, but just my little rant.

We do a lot of work with a large scrap company whcih has a yard not too far from Hap. These guys are pretty legit, but one of our crews was working at one of their yards. They said you could not believe the stuff people brought in and how they got it to the yard.

Most yards don't sell much stuff from them. Too much liablilty for them. I scrapped a Spitfire carcass recently and the yard I took it to would not sell any parts off the CFC cars, even though its allowed.

Sorry to say, but this is what I though would become of this. I am cuffed that the scum was found. I do believe, like the previous post that the scrappers want to get rid of any "bad" metal before the coppers arrive. Here, you are require to show I.D. and are finger printed if you bring in large amounts of copper, brass and ali.
