Still Won't Crank Over

Are ok at the track for emer. repairs but that is about it in my book.

I won't even use them then, Jack. I go to the track prepared, with wire in various gauges and colors, crimps and crimpers, and a soldering gun. But then, my supply selection has been known to support half the track for a season! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I never have that much time on the stock car, at the track it's down and dirty.

Wouldn't you have a "simpler and more direct" wiring set-up in a track car anyway?

Is very simple but everything is soddered in.

Update-The replacement relay came in while I was sweating in Alabama the first part of the week. Installed the relay this morning and all is well. The key engages the solenoid as it should when in the start position. I'm really glad that was the cure, but wondering after suffering some sticker shock of it if there's a cheaper alternative (other than taping the wire under the dash).
