Just caught the latest "Capital One" card ad: Meteor about to destroy earth, military command center, commander oblivious of the disaster is "designing" his card.

Quite funny, actually.

It is a good one. Fortunately they misunderstand his command to enlarge the photo. (Don't want to give away the actual words here.)

I've always wondered why our USA ads are so bland while much of the world has really funny ads.

This one is an improvement for us.

I still like "War Kittens?!"

Haven't seen the new one yet...

Were in America land of you do not use smart humor in your advertising, however super dumb, super annoying, super sappy, super sexy or your going to die without this wonder drug is just fine.

Don't forget the Snickers "FEAST" commercials

Hello, this is Bob.
Now thats is a commercial that was/is OBNOXIOUS to say the least. {enzyte or sumpthin like that}

The one ~other~ giggle inducing one I've seen is some dumb hair treatment, but the last line is funny: "Don't trust anybody over ninety."

Good joke, that.

Ads. They used to be the only reason to watch the super-yawn every year. Last year the ads were so lame that reason is gone too! :wink:
