Still Burning Oil? What Type of Oil to Use?

Vettdog, the car doesn't burn oil when I'm taking off from idle at all. The other possibility is that the PCV is making it leak oil as I drive. It leaks a fair amount when it's still, more than the usual TR. I think that's because the harmonic balancer and the seal around the harmonic balancer was replaced, and one of the two was machined just a few thousandths of an inch smaller or bigger (respectively) than it should have been. All that's holding the oil back is a knife edged piece of rubber, anyway.

That still doesn't solve my problem of a small oil cloud at high revs though... Is the lend a tool thing free?

Also, what does it mean if there's a vacuum vs. positive pressure when I take the oil cap off? I had a guy come look at buying my car last year who did that, saying he was checking for "blowback," and I didn't know what that meant, but he must have been checking the guides.
