....to my SCCA car. Today I finished my new aluminum radiator support bracket - 1 pound lighter than original plus it has a "steady bar" incorporated in the top edge of it that bolts from fender to fender....more photos & info on my web site.

you might could make it even lighter by putting holes on either side of the radiator... and routing ducts through them to the carb intake for "cool air" induction.

Rob - it pulls cold air through the hood scoop

coooooool. I want!

d'oh... ok... uhm... in thank case the new shroud looks great! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Are those wheels the lightest you have tony?

Kenny - those 14" wheels are just on it for photo...I'm using 15x5-1/2 Carroll Shelby wheels off an old Saab - the ones that look like Minilites...real light

Its in - & I'm now disassembling the front suspension to lighten it - & under there is 'unsprung weight'!

No doubt you'll find it and "adjust accordingly."

What rotors ya got on there?

Phto coming, Doc...you might be surprised!

One thing though, the PO has done lots of suspension work under it...

oh, here's a photo of what it looked like when I started - PARTS CAR!

Black fender, white door, no interior....sad little car with super suspension!

and 3 side view mirrors to boot! only a master can make mods like that! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Rob - I think if the passenger door had not been changed to a white one without a mirror, it would've had 4!

dang! heheh that kind of makes me think of the station wagon that Chevy Chase drove in "National Lampoon's Vacation" with it's whopping 8 headlights... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Tony, not trying to be personal, but what does the driver weigh?
If you're down to taking off 1lb. at a time, maybe he could help?
Simon.(Possibly off-limits!)

Simon - I'm 6' & 200 lbs....might get that down a bit....hehehehe

Drilled some holes in the A arms today....already drilled some in the spring perches....tomorrow will drill a few more in the suspension beam!

it'll be a holy car.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

What front rotors are you using? I figgered we'd be hearing of hole saws and cross members soon enuff...

"What's that whistlin' noise?"

"'at's Tony at sixty... the CAR, dammit! The CAR!"
