Sticky throttle linkage

Finally able to drive my 55 bn2 everything seems to be working. The throttle linkage is sticky and engine doesn’t come back to idle it hangs at about 1500 to 2000 rpm. Is there some trick to loosening up all the linkage couplings?
Car hasn’t been driven since 69
