When I'm out on the back roads, I'll usually will give Baby Blue a good hard run in 2nd gear up to around 5000 rpm once per drive Lately, I've noticed the tach seems to get hung up at 4000, even though I can tell the engine is turning faster. The tach will then jump to the actual engine speed. Fortunately, I haven't over-revved the motor. Anyone had an issue like this before? I've had the bouncy speedometer issue, but I know the tach is electrical, not mechanical, at least up to the actual gauge.
I was going through my mileage logs and found I put over 2,000 miles on the Sprite this year. That's the most I've put on the car since 2016. Funny thing is that I never really went anywhere. Almost all the driving were back road runs with my daughter within a 20 mile radius of our house.
