This is the only cheap beer that I know of in PA.
HOWEVER you best ask the Doc about cheap beer in PA :jester:

"Pony" bottles!

Iron City, Carling Black Label ("Hey, Mabel! Black Label!"), Schlitz, Pabst, Stroh's.

I believe Rolling Rock and I.C. are the only ones left.

Oh, yeah - Rosenberg's:

"Rosenbugs, Rosenbugs -1825... Tu-lane!" Annoying little voice.

Remember Schwegmann's? (Pronounced "Swagman's"): "Way over 'der in da cornah!"

Shell had platformate for better gas milage, Atlantic gave you a little red styrofoam ball for you radio antennae. Esso had a tiger in your tank with a stuffed tiger tail hanging out of your gas tank door and Citgo had no-nox plastic horse shoes for more kick from your gas. Flying A gas had the mascot bassett hound "Axelrod" Sinclair dinosaur.Rolaids consume 47 times their weight in excess stomach acid.Diet sodas with Cyclomates. Nancy Sinatra singing These boots were made for walking in White high heel boots and mini skirt to sell Firestone wide oval tires.Timex-Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.Bullet througn a Master lock in slo-mo.Bolt cutter? Not so much. My head is full of this stuff. How did they ever put Arnold Palmer{golf} and Quaker State oil together? Oil burning lawn mowers?Who killed Morris the Cat?

IIRC the tail pre dates gas tank doors. I remember in trunk lids and off bicycles. (with baseball cards in spokes)

Too bad everyone else can't appreciate how bad commercials are down here:

Oh this is too much:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI7jC57GuZM&feature=related

This:

"Ay, ay, ay, ay! I am dee Frito Bandito. I like Frito's Corn Chips. I love them, I do. I want Frito's corn chips. I'll take them, from you."

Or this:

"I'm Chiquita banana and I've come to say -
Bananas have to ripen in a certain way -
When they are fleck'd with brown and have a golden hue -
Bananas taste the best and are best for you -
You can put them in a salad - You can put them in a pie-aye -
Any way you want to eat them - It's impossible to beat them -
But, bananas like the climate of the very, very tropical equator -
So you should never put bananas in the refrigerator."

There's sticks in my head
there's bugs in my bed.
My pants are so old that they shine.
Out on the street
I tell the people I meet-
To give me a bottle of wine.

Mickey, my friend, you and I are probably the only two people on this forum that remember those jingles. :savewave:

Bill -

I found some links to some of the old WTIX shows a while back. Those, and the Pontchartrain Beach ads, and Morgus the Magnificent. Great stuff!
