Weird how I sometimes notice when a regular suddenly falls off the radar. I haven't seen Steve_S in quite a long time...anyone know if he's ok?

Just got back this afternoon from a 1,500 mile, 11-day journey in the '49 MG TC. All is well and thanks for the concern.

No, we didn't come anywhere near Eureka. Our trip north was through gold country and then east over the Sierra Nevada.

So was that the Grass Valley Route? Stop off at the Mallikoff (sp?) diggin's?

We weren't that far north before crossing the Sierras. Our route took us over Echo Summit on Route 50 to get to the east side and on to Nevada.
