I'd like to replace the all black plastic 15" steering wheel on the midget with something smaller and a little more fancy. Anyone have experience with Mountney wheels? They're less than half the price of a Moto-Lita.
Any other sources?
Tony's really happy with the Moss "Tourist Trophy" wheels -- they're a Moto-Lita knock off and about $100 cheaper. Some LeCarra wheels (I think) also fit the Moto-Lita hub pattern.
Bud, I'm running the Mountney.....LOVE IT.
One of my concerns was the feeling of a heavier steer with a smaller diameter wheel, but it feels lighter for some reason, maybe it's my new tires, I dunno.
I have an extra inch or so on the door side, so I'm not banging my knuckles when I turn the wheel.
One slight downside is that the hub protrudes a bit, but again, you get used to it quick enough.
