Steering Wheel

I own a 1959 Jaguar MK1 Sedan with a non-original steering wheel. I have seen numerous pictures of Mk1 interiors and some have a four spoke bakilite type wheel and some have a three spoke wood type wheel. Was there two types from the factory? And.....if someone had which ever is the correct wheel what would be a reasonable price to pay including the horn button?

Any help would be appreciated......Mark

Hello Mark,

Yes, the correct steering wheel is the 4 spoke, black plastic (Not Bakelite).

You might contact:
Cordell Newby 1625 N Western, Wenatchee, WA 98801 509-662-7748

A real nice wheel can run $500, a crummy wheel will run about $50 - $75.

They are very easily restored with JB weld, and black lacquer.

Good Luck!
