Steering Wheel Repair

Has anyone tried to repair a steering wheel with J-B Weld (grey), with perhaps a bit of lamp black for the right color? And if so, how much lamp black, and any other details one might care to share. Would like to keep my original one if I can bring it back to life. Thanks, Dan

Re: steering wheel repair

Eastwood has a steering wheel repair kit for the laminated/bakelight wheels. I have used it and primes and paints well. Never thought of jbweld, but probabbly good too. Have to experiment with your black. I used chassis black a couple times.
