Steering Wheel Question

Is it possible to retrofit an earlier steering wheel to a newer car? I love the older bajo wheels especially when compared to the rubber wheel on my '76? Any thoughts?

Spridgets used at least 4 different splines and sizes of wheel hubs thru the years.
The 65-67 banjo style used a very fine 3/4" spline.
68-69 used a 5/8 fine spline, so even though the wheels look identicle, they are not interchangable.
Side curtain cars used a coarse spline hub
70s Midgets went back to a coarse hub which might be the same as the Bugeyes, I know they look very close, I never tried the swap.
