I replace my steering wheel with an after market one. I had to drill the hole a bit bigger to fit the pencil connector. When I turn the wheel the horn sounds. The horn works fine when I press the button. I found a photo on line to show where I believe the issue is.(see attached) If this is the issue there is another hole closer the the center. Should I make this hole a bit bigger to fit the pencil connector in this one so it is further way from the outer edge? Opinions.

You did not state the brand of wheel you installed.
I bought Moto-Lita wheels for my 2 TR4s ( same steering wheel set up) and had the same issue. I found that the underside of the new wheel had a raised area that was causing the problem. Try removing the pencil connector and see if the horns still honk. If so, I ground down the raised ridge so that IT did not come in contact with the brass plate.
