Sentimental attachment__the late Ray Caivano fitted this Moto-Lita wheel during the car's '77-'78 period restoration__kept me from also being one of Mike's customers.
After so many years, the internal aluminum splines had worn a bit, allowing a some wiggle between the hub and column, so I bought a new hub a couple years back (which only requires just a touch of clearance enhancing work with a die-grinder, so the trafficator can function).
Every year or so, I'll hit the wood with some Butcher Block oil, and take some Simichrome to the spokes. This one has a very shallow dish to it, giving a bit more knuckle room (the thighs and stomach aren't yet a problem...
).
