steering u-joints????

has anyone replaced those rubber joints in the steering shaft connections with steel u-joints??? i'm looking for a source that will fit on the stock shafts with the correct splines. anyone?????anyone????? i already looked at borgeson but i don't think they are a match. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Just use the later TR6 lower ujoint (Moss #667-295) It should fit both upper and lower joint locations.

Oops, my bad - that only works if you have the earlier center column shaft that takes the bolt on fitting for the rubber donut. When I went back and looked at the catalog a second time, I saw where the TR6 at some point changed the shaft to have one of the brackets welded on.
