TR6 Steering Rack TR6

I am in the process of removing the steering rack from my 71 TR6. As usual all the write ups imply its pretty easy and of course as usual that's not the case....at least for me ....lol.
All the bolts and mounts have been removed and the rack itself is free of the car except where it is attached by this articulated spline thingy ( Not sure of the correct name ) which is how the rack is attached to the steering column. I have attached a picture of what I mean. My question is....How do I remove the rack from the steering column ?
