Hey All

Did I get the steering arm correct here? This is the Bastuk German unit that requires you to switch the steering arms? I did switch them but I want to be sure I don't have them upside down. In this orientation, the ball joint would drop in from the top and the nut would tighten the ball joint from under the steering arm. I reviewed the photos in this thread but nobody showed the steering arm/ball joint assembled.

Hey, how do you like my home-powdercoated springs. I'm proud of those. Eastwood argent silver with clear gloss coating. Really came out nice.

I don't have the setup, but in reading about it I think you have it right. Basically you swap sides with the arms, which I think moves the arms closer to the rotors - this improves bump steer effects. At least thats what I think I've learned about it.

You are correct. When I switched mine something did not seem right, but it was, Your springs look great! The whole setup looks great!

This weekend I'll finish front suspension and start cleaning 50 years of crud off the rear end so I can paint and refit to frame. Also found a leaf spring shop in West Sacramento that is happy to go thru my leaf springs and make sure they are working properly (Sacramento Spring). I'll start another post to let all know what he says about Triumph leaf springs. He seems knowledgable and experienced in these small springs and claims to have done work on other LBCs (what does LBC stand for, anyway? The BC is British Car but the "L"?
