anyone running an aftermarket steering wheel / hub? I have found an adapter to mount a Nardi steering wheel but I was wondering if there were some other ones out there. Maybe even a quick release hub?
 
Got at quick realease hub. Has to be welded though. Will never be able to service the bearing anymore. Bot thats niether here nor there. I prefer the splined version over that hex version. Gives you more chance to line the wheel upo straight. I Hate when they're tweaked. Got mine from Jegs. Maybe $60-$80 or so think.

Ray, I installed one from Racer Parts Wholesale on a Bugeye, and had to cut the splines and taper from the shaft. You can either weld it on, or drill and cross pin it. If servicing the column later is a concern, then pin it.

Ray, I whacked it off with the death wheel, and dressed it with a file. Clamped it up and welded it in place. You will want to pay attention to the orientation of the adapter to the shaft, as the pinch bolt location at the rack end is going to determine the orientation of the steering wheel in the wheels straight ahead position.
