Installing the control head in my adjustable steering wheel. If I spin it in hand it cancels in both directions. When I install it in the wheel well and tighten in place with the 2 set screws it seems everything turns and it won't cancel. What am I missing ? Thanks ! :hammer:

If the stator tube is secure at the base of the steering box, it's possible the upper end of the stator has a broken slot. The short tube of the control head must fit into an intact slot. They are often found broken on one side at the base of the slot. To check it, you've got to remove it from the column enough to see the top end. Good luck, Bob

Be sure the grab screws mentioned above are on the proper side of the base plate. Grab the head and try pulling it towards you. If you can then the screws are on the wrong side of the plate and you need to loosen the three screws and push it in farther before tightening them.
