hello everyone I am a new member and a total luddite when it comes to computers so here is my question. I am in the process of replacing steering column bushings and rubber coupling. I have coupling off, no problem . steering wheel off ,tach and speedo removed I cant figure out how to get the column out, steering lock is out and I can slide column almost all the way out either towards cab or forward but something is stopping it. I am afraid to force anything . any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome, Robert !
Have you been following the procedure in a manual ?
If so is there a step after which you can no longer progress ?

have several manuals but none specifically addressed my issue. However I got it out. it was hanging on the old bushings that were still in the housing. There is a fat spot on the steering shaft that will not allow it to pass thru with the bushing in place, all I have to do is reassemble with reverse procedure in mind. Thanks for the reply, great site, Im sure I will make good use of the info
