Healey Friends ..

Has anybody determined an easy method for installing the Felt Steering Column Bushing in the BJ8 steering column? I have the Moss part #867-600, and it is significantly thicker than the clearance space between the shaft and the shell.

Thanka

Shave it down with a razor. Or better yet, use O rings. I used several an inch or so apart. Call British Car specialist in CA. They have the right size.

Thanks for the help Dale. I sliced the felt in half, in the flat, with a razor as suggested .. (not easy). and was able to install, however, there is still a small amount of play. I have reviewed O rings and I plan to order several, for this seems like the better solution.
