I think my steering box needs work...lot of play in the wheel. Does anyone know if there is a good vendor that rebuilds these things? Thanks

Since you don't say what car it is, I am guessing that it must be a Big Healey?
There are a couple of adjustments on the steering box that will reduce the "play" quite a bit. One of them involves an adjustment screw. The other involves removing shims on the end cover plate. If you are mechanically inclined, get a shop manual that covers steering gear adjustment. If you are not so inclined, try to find a shop or someone who is familiar with adjusting this type of steering gear. Good luck,
D

Thanks for the reply. The Healey is a BN6, and yes, I am mechanically inclided, I just wasn't sure if the steering box is one of those items best left to the specialists, like brake calipers, king-pin sleeves, carb rebuild, etc. Thanks for the tips, I have a shop manual and I will look into those adjustments.
PS - Nice car you got there.
