Hey all,
Quick question, Moss and others sell an oil specifically
for the steering gear box but based on what I can find in
the workshop manual, looks like 90 weight is called out.
What do y'all recommend ?
Thanks,
Mike

If you have ANY leaks, or just because, I use 140 wt. In general it does not leak and the heavier oil will not cause problems in the box.

I've been using Red Line 80w/140 too, mostly because I buy it buy the case for the BMWs I work on, and it's always on hand.

Since I replaced the lower steering box seal, mine doesn't leak any more either.
