I am getting a tad tired of 140wt dripping out of the sector shaft......I'd previously done the worm seal in place, so, pulled the Pittman arm, pulled the top cover, slid the sector out the top (2.4L RHD manual steering, and it JUST clears), then the stupid O-ring seal.....the bugger was rock hard, had to pick it out in pieces....got it, cleaned the groove, slid the new O-ring into place, lubed it and slid the shaft back in.
Buttoned it all up, filled with oil now tommorrow we'll see what's dripping.

Something else. :jester:

Just remember, when a Jaguar is not leaking it's out of oil.

I do believe that applies to all LBC's, eh?
I did a lot of looking at the service and parts manual, making sure I didn't need to deal with the recirculating ball setup, and that there was a chance I could do this in-situ`.
Was NOT up to pulling the box.

Almost 24 hours, laid my ballpoint on the ground at the RF wheel, moved the vehicle into the garage and went back to check across from the ballpoint....dry.
For now, success!
