Islands of Trinidad and Tobago - with a group of our close friends.

Scuba Diving all day; Live Steel Bands in the evening.

Friendly people, good beaches, great food, great music and plenty of drinks.

We can't go there often enough.

Ah, yes, drove to work this morning in the dark, and the sleet, listening to a Jimmy Buffett tape. Sunny & Cheerful inside, if not outside....

His tunes got me sanely thru the winter of '78 in western Pennsylvania. That's th' year we made the decision to MOVE, too.

Hey Don !

Here's a curious, live, steel drum, Calypso band we saw
in Aruba last week. Deeply strange, actually. The "band"
was in a boom box with this lone drummer pounding away.

Dale,

I saw something similar in Costa Rica - 2 Guitarists with a boom box.

After a few drinks they started to sound good to us /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thirsty.gif

Isn't that the guy with the Albatross? Or Albatrosses?

What's a "Yat"?

- Doug

It's a native - particularly "Nint' Ward". Comes from the greeting, "Hey, Man, where y'at?" Meaning, "How are you?"
