Stealth third brake light

The first thing that is unsafe in my opinion is not the absence of a third brakelight, but the rearview mirror.
Its like being on a motorcycle and viewing your arms in the mirror.
The only thing that really helps is enough distance and turning your neck ;-)
I will try to hide a third light in the suitcase

Hi BigGreen,
So true. I don't have any outside mirrors, and rely on my rearview mirror.
If you have a luggage rack on the boot, and strap a suitcase to it, that's a perfect place to incorporate a 3rd brake light!
Cheers,
Roger
A vintage '60's Samsonite on the luggage rack, maybe??

Yep Coz the last hoop on the rack preceeds the suitcase and is hih enogh to be effective.Glad to see you finaly agree with me thatiwhere nine are located and easily removed for show.

Roger, I like the license frame idea, but I scrape the license plate frequently when entering steep driveways. I don't think it would last very long.

I think the solution you are looking for is to somehow embed thousands of LED's in your trunk lid that are invisible until you step on the brakes and then the entire trunk lid turns bright red. You might even be able to program it to light up in different animated patterns. Would be a real hit at car shows.

Gezz Keoke, I get a headache trying to decipher your sentences and spelling.
Not sure I agree with you, being I can't make out what the heck your talking about.

Rob, I used a spring loaded door hing to hold the rear plate. It swings back when contacted then forward again. No more problems. You would never be able to tell its there.

TH, That's a great idea. I'll check for one at the hardware store this morning. I hate the scrapping sound and don't want to damage the original black plate if I can help it.
