Happy Thanksgiving!

Do enjoy the day tomorrow. Doug and I spent most of the day doing prep. We are having some very dear friends over and we have 75% of the prep completed. Tomorrow will be an easy day. Just the company of good friends, family and if all goes well, good food. Doesn't get much better than that. (Unless the weather cooperates so I can take Agatha out to give a ride to the guests. They think I'm doing them a favor but you all know better than that. Zip your lips, thank you.)

We too have friends coming for dinner, and I promised my friend that he could drive my 6 tomorrow. I decided that it needed gas since the gauge was pretty close to "E". So, I pulled it out of the garage and let it idle to warm up; after about a min, the engine dies and I can't get it restarted..... you guessed it, I ran out of gas on my driveway! Got the old gas can out and came back and dumped it in..... it runs much better now :triumphant:
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday with family and friends!

Thanks for the early "laugh." I'm getting a jump on tomorrow.

Our Thanksgiving is Saturday. The best time to gather family. And, yes it is a holdover from our USA days. Will be surrounded by friends. Best wishes all! BTW was listening to a history of Black Friday on the radio today. Didn't realize that the name came frm Philidelphia to describe the traffic jams that hit the city as people arrived for the Army Navy game on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Also didn't realize the current date wasn't set till 1941. Fascinating.

I have several friends and students who are working in stores overnight on Black Friday.
One of them told me, "It's even worse than it sounds."

We're going over to Linda's sister's house for Turkey Day with some other relatives.
#1 daughter is in Fla. visiting in-laws.
#2 daughter is here in NJ visiting her in-laws.
So all is well and everyone is busy.

I'm going out early to our summer house to rakes leaves and do one last lawn mowing before the cold weather sets in.
Then it's on to tryptophan overload. :p
I'm sure I will drive the MGB at some point this weekend.
