Just thought of a test you could perform to check the clutch. With the transmission in neutral and the engine running apply a small amount of pressure to take the free play out and increase the RPMs of the engine. There should be no movement of the clutch pedal. If it moves to the floor as you rev the engine we will need to determine why.
