Stator Tube Nut and Olive

Well, the nut is stripped and needs replacing to properly seat the olive and seal the stator tube. Is the nut a really a specialty item or just a 9/16 fine thread pipe fitting? It certainly looks similar to brass pipe fittings and olives used in my last under-the-sink honey replace the kitchen faucet adventure.

Agreed and the nut? Is it pipe thread? The nut threads stripped and needs to be replaced too. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to get this at Home Depot or Loews or a decent hardware store. AFIK these fittings have their own threads, which are not tapered.

Standard compression fitting available at your local hardware store

I haven't worked on mine in a while, but IIRC the compression fitting from you-know-who is sliced lengthwise; it always appeared it wouldn't fit without being able to expand a little. Is this incorrect?

The sliced olive allows for easy removal even after years of being in compressed. One that is not sliced needs to be carefully cut in-situ to remove. Work in this area is always somewhat fiddly, so do things to keep it simple. Thanks all.
