"Statler" is in School

Took these pictures today in the HS shop. I meet the students tomorrow afternoon (one is the son of gal I went to HS with). Their teacher says the 3 students are really excited about the project! For me it give me time to work on parts restoration and the Bugeye.

My tuition money at work!

Re: "Statler" is in School

Those are some serious C-clamps in the first picture! Gotta love using HS shop labor. With resto shops that bill out at upwards of $75.00 - $100.00 per hour to do grunt work that is a huge savings.

Hey! I think I recognize that inner fender! Excellent!

Re: "Statler" is in School

Great shop and hopefully we'll have some LBC fans when we get done. Yes Randy that is the patch fender from you! Hopefully by the end of next week it will forever be part of my TR3a. Looks like we should have a completed body by the end of the school year!

Hey Paul. Looks like you got some good progress going. I would like to come by in my TR3 to show the kids what the finished car would look like. Maybe some insperation.

Great idea! I'll get the class schedule and talk to the instructor. I meet with them at 12:10 this afternoon, but I don't know if that is the regular time they meet. As you can see, your donation is laying in the trunk of my car. It will go to a good cause and more of your TR3 will continue on in Statler. I am really thinking that I might have a car to drive by the end of summer!
