Stateside source for rebuilding PBR boosters?

My MK2 has a PBR VH44 booster that is going away rapidly.
I have it bypassed for now so I can continue driving the car.
I found Oz sources for rebuilding, but the shipping might be a tad high.

Anybody stateside do these?
 
yes, there is a company in Calif. and another in the East Coast who rebuild Jaguar Servos, but no matter who you choose, be prepared for a hefty
invoice. Look in Hemmings.com under Jaguar and Services.

Another company known for their quality restoration work is White Post Restorations, in White Post Virginia. They are expensive and you get what you pay for. I remember a forum member here who sent his servo to them, then he posted pictures of what they sent him back, looked like a new unit in every sense. He paid around $400. for an XK-140 brake servo restoration. You might do a search here for that thread.

So far, none do the Australian-made boosters.
Out of Oz, rebuilt exchange (if they will ship), $175AU, or $115US.
 
XKS Unlimited has kits if you are up to doing it yourself.
 
For a PBR?
I talked to my rep Friday, he'd never heard of them.
 
My rep WAS at XK's Unlimited.

You know how lots of Jags seem to have non-original style boosters?
Around these parts, they got a Bendix or Lockheed.

In NZ or Singapore, apparently, they got PBR's.

Try emailing PBR here in Australia and see if they can help with a contact in the US.

By the way PBR is also a supplier to GM in the US for brake components mostly for the Corvette as I recall as well as the main supplier for mainstream manufacturers here like Toyota , Ford and GM for their locally built products.

I tried PBR direct, never even bothered to reply to me.

However, I found a rebuilder northwest of Melbourne who already has the unit.

I know PBR is OEM to a lot of vehicles.
But, this is a VH44, and unless they start importing old Holdens into the US, I get to send mine out for refit.
 
Got the refurbished unit back yesterday.
Installed last night.
Drove to St. Arbucks this morning.

Cost was $115US plus shipping.

They even re-plated the housings.

Looks good, works good.
