I have replaced the starter with a new hi-torque model, checked all connections (included cleanig of all), replaced the relay and still nothing. The only thing that happens is that the fuel pump will not stop pumping. I had recently replaced the ignition switch and harness. I have power at the relay brown and red/white connections but nothing at the white/brown connection. This is really frustrating because all connections are clean, dry, or new. I'm about ready to trade it on a corvair or chevette. This is ridiculous. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Is the relay wired correctly? Is the ground going to the relay good? It is possible that you have a bad relay.
If you jump the brown and brown/white wire together, does the starter turn over? Remove the coil wire and try it.
You can use a generic 30A Bosch relay available at an auto parts store. It is a cube shaped relay with four spades usually marked 30,87,85 & 86. It costs less than $10-.
Connect the black wire to 85
White/red to 86
Brown to 30
White/brown to 87.
There may also be other brands of relays that will work. Bring your old one to the autoparts store and the person behind the counter should be able to match it up.
