After great success replacing Healey and Caterham starting motors with Japanese ones adapted and sold by fellow at BritishStarters.com, due to advancing age had a mechanic put one in the '67 Etype. A turnkey operation. Although as also reported by someone else, first time I started Healey I nearly lifted out of seat at speed of whir thinking I had done something wrong and it was freewheeling. The Jag is similar, even with fresh battery and warm oil never heard Jag turn that fast, not quite as fast as Healey, presumably more cubes in engine, dreamingly better compression.
Anyway, highly recommend. P.S. No relationship, financial or otherwise with vendor.
