Starting a Sprite after 16 years in storage

One more question for this evening.

Any suggestions, cautions, etc. about firing up an engine after 16 years in storage? The car was running fine when it was stored and the engine looks pretty good from the outside. The gas tank has been cleaned and painted. Fuel lines have been cleaned and blown out with compressed air. PO put an electric fuel pump that I'm going to test this weekend. I'll also replace fluids, filters, and hoses, but do I need to run anything through the engine to clean gunk out, or just put in clean oil?

Also, what attention will the carbs need?

Fresh oil and filter, for sure. At a minimum, I'd take the tops off the float bowls and clean the bowls, as well as the needles and seats. Blow some carb cleaner through the jets, reassemble, start it and go from there. I'm assuming you've already gone through the ignition to insure you have spark.
