Sounds like bearing is gone to me. Take it to an automotive electrical shop.

Jim, there should be a little square shaft sticking out the front of the starter. (The part towards the front of the car.)
Try turning that and see if it doesn't free things up. It sounds as though your starter gear is stuck in the ring gear.

Oh, hehe, thought he had it out already. Could also try rocking the car a bit.

Have ya got room to stuff a 2x4 down from the top and WHACK it with a BFH?

Think it is out now, heck only two bolts.

Sure ya got the ~RIGHT~ two bolts out!?!? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Sometimes I'm like that.

problem solved!
1.take ur common 3/4 inch wood chisel
and hammer it into the top edge between
the starter and the casing till its in
good..
2. pull the chisel out ....starter falls right out!

thanks for the motivation guys ; ) .....zimmy
