TR2/3/3A Stainless Steel Exhaust Installation

Putting back together my SS Falcon exhaust system which has not been used and wondering if I should be using some kind of "jointing" compound when assembling the three sections. I recall using a coating material at each joint was recommended on the TV program, Wheeler Dealers, but I did not catch the product Ed recommended. Anyone have any thoughts? I have not seen anything in particularly made for this at the LAPS.

I have used plain old red high-temp RTV and it seemed to work w/o making later disassembly difficult.
