Stainless Steel Bumpers

These stainless Healey 100 bumpers from Vietnam just appeared on the market. In my experience every reproduction I have come across has the wrong curvature, especially on the rear bumper. I wonder if these are any better. Stainless will appear yellower than chromed steel due to the high nickel comtent but can be chrome plated. Still this is an interesting option….

I put stainless bumpers on the 64 BJ8 I restored . They didn’t look yellow at all but they were high grade stainless ,they had zero magnetism when I tried a magnet on them .
The add avoids stating the grade of the stainless steel used in the manufacture of them .
The ones I used were 304 .
They were not inexpensive but when I looked at the cost of rechrome etc the stainless was a better option .

I bought Sunbeam Alpine stainless steel bumpers from them, and could not be happier. They’re really excellent.
