SSsnake - It's Been Awhile

And you're gonna need a longer extension cord than that... :jester:

Looks like a GT rear board will be used to cover the gas grill. Or is that for a fuel cell mounted to be mounted on top of the original fuel tank so it will go over 100 miles between fillups? Time to get some driver seat time in it!Give your body guy a kick in the butt....I wanna ride when its done. Do you have a finish date in mind. Bob

Photos that'll explain it tonight.....but, until then, you guys can keep guessing....

Bob, we're hoping to have it in 2-part white epoxy primer within a week...then we'll see where we are.

First, the photo above shows my gas tank fill pipe coming from the driver side of the car....we're having a fuel cell made that replicates the original MGB tank (it'll go where the original tank was). Here's an old photo that shows the 20003 Hyundai Tiburon gas filler welded and blended onto the MGB's rear quarter

Second, however, & primarily, it shows GT hatchback floor framework welded into my trunk.

But, why?

Well, I'm planning a killer stereo so the CD changer, amps, etc. will be put in the padded trunk area.....then, the GT hatch floor cover will be closed & latched over them. Since I won't have room for a full-size spare, I'll use my little SAAB "doughnut" spare tire which will be bolted to the GT floor.

Here are some photos that might help explain:

I don't think I would even bother with the spare...take your AAA Card and forget about it.

And the song goes on and on. I want to hear it go.

Tony, I'll be up to test and evaluate for you.

I was going to guess that your body shop is next door to the guys from Pimp-My-Ride!! I was kinda close!!!

Yep Tony is gonna have to get some serious bling for around his neck

An' silk shirts?

I wanna SEE that!!!

Make sure to leave the license tag bolts a bit loose... I like th' "tamborine effect" it has when th' tunes are blastin'.

Make your jokes ye unbelievers....& then we'll put pink slips on any match ups.....there have literally been thousands of man hours put into massaging that body & we're not finished yet....then the leather custom upholstery that's sitting in the garage...& the 300hp Glenn Towry-built V8 tied to a 5-speed & MGC rear end along with the custom coilover front suspension.....oh ye of little faith!

Here are a couple more photos:

Hope you can bring Sssssnake to British V8 in Indianapolis July 7-11, 2010.

May I bring it on a trailer if it's not finished?

Of course you can!

But can I ask that you allow Chuck to sit in the truck cab with you on the journey, and not delegate him to the cockpit of the MG?

Rick I really wanted to sit in the drivers seat and make vroom vroom noises
