sputtering at start

I took off the ZS carb from my '77 Midget a couple of weeks ago and did a rebuild. Now I have put it back on the Midget and it does not want to start. It sputters when I turn the ignition and dies off.
I bet it is something stupid easy I have missed or forgotten, but as said I have forgotten it, so please enlighten me. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Not much help from you guys.... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

In the end I fell back on the swearing, kicking the tires and banging the intake manifold with a spanner... And yup it started just fine...

I definitely thought at least one of you guys would mention the above solution... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Haha, you knock a stuck float loose?

Could be... Or maybe the Midget decided it was better to be on the road in the sun than couped up in a dark garage ripped apart...

Anyways, I am happier since I could go to work this morning, cab down, to work along the pacific coast...
Wow have I missed that...
