Sprite MK3 questions

I have a few 1966 MkIII Sprite questions

1.What is the color of the signal light lens that is on the dash panel? Was it clear tape?
2.How many speed is the wiper motor? It does not work and cannot seem to find info on it.
3.I purchased a new turn signal switch unit, but no cowl on steering column. Moss has one listed, the part number is 233-205, is this the correct cowl?
4.Does the manual windshield washer pump work ok, I need one and thinking maybe electric, but would prefer to stay original. I have a pump but it has a long neck on it that requires a screw on knob, from pictures the correct pump for the 1966 sprite is more of a push button, I think.

Thanks for your help, making slow progress.

my 67 (mk IV) has green lens for the turn signals. i have a 65 with no lens so i'm not sure what the standard is. the moss and vb cats don't even acknowledge a lens. the wiper is only a single speed if i'm not correct. the cowl in moss should be correct. i have not had any problems with the manual washer pump. that would be your preference to go electric.

Thanks Fred.
Fred did you look at the moss cowl, just want to make sure I am ordering the correct cowl
can anybody confirm the signal lense color, Freds 67 is green, I think the 66 is clear, but not sure.
Thanks Phil

i have a 65 and a 67 with the same cowl. the one listed in moss under the part number you mentioned is the right one for a 66.

Thanks Fred
Can you please tell me if your manual washer pump has a threaded knob on it. I have two pumps sitting here and both have a long shalf with threads on the end. When I put the pump in the dash it sticks out about a inch and a half. I noticed in the parts cat. there is another pump that has a shorter neck with a button top.
My last question of the night, I promise is the oil light on the dash, what color is the lense and do you have any idea wheere I might find one.
Thanks

the manual pump has 1/2" of total thread. there is a 3/8" spacer that prevents the pump from protruding too far through the dash. the chrome nut then makes the pump flush with the dash. if you don't have the spacer, you might try a 3/8" length of pvc piping. the oil pressure light is a tough one. i have no source, but there are often whole dashes for sale on ebay that usually have that light. the light is an amber or red color.

Thanks for your help.
I thinnk I must have the wrong pumps, the pumps have two metal cups that slide over the shaft. Both cups are at least 3/4 of an inch long, one cup fits inside the other. I have had a few early parts cars, thinking this is where the pumps come from.. The pump does not seem to fit properly into the dash. If I had more time tonight I would try to post a picture, but I have got to go to bed as 4am comes quick. Maybe this weekend I can post a picture and if you are online have a look
Thanks again for your help
Phil

The signal dash lenses are green, and a green plastic milk jug or similar plastic cap works just fine if you cut it to fit behind the arrows.
The oil filter warning lamp lens was red, it is almost the same as the later Midget jeweled dash lenses and I think it is exact from the 68-69 Spridgets.
As for the wiper pump, it should be just a black button coming out of a small can. You might have the earlier MKII pump. If so, want to trade?

Thanks for your help
I spent many hours looking through old wires etc, and managed to find a perfect oil warning lamp cover. It was worth the time. I sent you a PM.

I need the outer rack casing for the windshield wiper cable. VB sell it as a 38 inch tube. Would anyone know the actual size of the tube and is it posible to buy the tube at a local auto store. Still need the nut, just cant seem to recall after 25 years where I put the nut or case.
