Sprite mark 4 rear brake shoe springs

Greetings! Can anyone help with the proper installation of rear brake shoes and springs on a sprite mk 4? I know how they came out of the car but I suspect they were not properly installed. Anyone have a picture of how the e brake mech attaches to the top spring on trailing shoe in particular? Bottom spring is easy. Top spring has funky bends at one end... anyone know how these engage what?

Also, I suspect the shoes should be flipped and not mirror images-- they had been installed with the slot at the top on both leading and trailing shoe and I think they are supposed to only have a slot on the leading shoe top and trailing shoe bottom. Cant find pics anywhere. Having trouble getting shoes to lay flat against back plate. Took apart to replace leaking oil seal, now complete but need shoe help. Thanks!

Hi... David?

Yup, there's a thread or two with pictures... let me find the link.

FYI, the Search feature (top right-hand corner) is quite good, but with the naming of threads, things can sometimes be hard to find.

My pleasure... did mine last fall, so it's fairly fresh in my mind. Feel free to drop me a line if you hit any snags... chester_field [at] hotmail.com Or just post on here, someone will jump in.
